‘Energy Conservation Award’ to Brahma Kumaris by Govt. of Maharashtra

Koregaon(Mah.) : Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Minister for Energy, New and Renewable Energy, Government of Maharashtra,  awarded Brahma Kumaris with​ “Energy Conservation Award ”, during the 12th State Level Award Ceremony for Excellence in Energy Conservation and Management organised by Maharashtra Energy Development Agency at Koregaon Park, for their exceptional contribution in the field of Energy Conservation and sustainability activities.  
 
BK Nanda, Senior Rajyoga Teacher, Latur, BK Punya, Rajyoga Teacher, Latur, BK Kedar, Project Energy Auditor received this award on Energy Conservation Day. 
 
Food Minister, Girish Papad, Head of Energy Conservation Department, Bipin Sharma, Co-ordinator, Purshottam Jadav, Bureau of Energy Efficiency and other dignitaries were present at the event.
 
Government of Maharashtra has recognized the remarkable efforts​  of Brahma Kumaris in the field of energy​ conservation​ and ​sustainability​.​ This is another mile stone in the service history of the Brahma Kumaris.​ 

State-level energy conservation project was organized by Brahma Kumaris Education Society, Latur in organizing  public awareness campaigns and implementing energy conservation in more than 358 places and saving about ten lakh units of energy.

Total of 62 awards were distributed to organizations, in the field of engineering, chemicals, medicinal and food, metal and steel, paper making, oil and chemicals, textile, thermal power, construction business, architecture, government buildings and organizations working in energy conservation
