Mount Abu, Rajasthan- May 2025: Amidst the tranquil and spiritually charged atmosphere of the Brahma Kumaris’ idyllic Gyan Sarovar in Mount Abu, a significant five-day National Conference and Retreat commenced, bringing together leading media professionals, journalists, and content creators from across the nation. Organized by the Brahma Kumaris Media Wing, this timely event delves into the crucial theme of ‘Media’s role as a harbinger of global peace and harmony,’ marking the beginning of a vital dialogue within a unique spiritual context. The gathering of over 500 attendees encompasses a dynamic mix of both emerging voices and experienced figures in the media landscape.
Rajyogini B.K. Mohini, Chief Administrative Head, Brahma Kumaris, warmly welcomed the attendees, reminding them of the divine invitation to this peaceful abode. She emphasized the fundamental link between inner peace and global harmony, stating that peaceful thoughts are the genesis of a peaceful world. “For global peace to manifest,” she asserted, “peace must first reside in our minds and relationships, originating from peaceful thoughts.” Drawing attention to the power of the mind, she noted the adage, “Wars begin in the minds of people.” Encouraging a deeper connection with inner peace, she invited attendees to learn about Rajayoga meditation during the five-day retreat, highlighting that experiencing personal peace empowers individuals to become true messengers of peace in the world.
Sis. B.K. Sarala, National Coordinator, Media Wing, RERF, Hyderabad, succinctly articulated the retreat’s profound aim: “God desires peace in the world, for every child to live in peace.” She urged attendees to align with this divine purpose and contribute to its realization, offering her sincere good wishes.
Prof. (Dr.) Mansingh Parmar, Former Ex- VC, KT University of JMC, Raipur, underscored India’s inherent peace-loving nature and the media’s vital role in fostering harmony within communities. He stressed that the media’s responsibility is to be a true mirror to the world, cautioning against the tendency to distort narratives and thereby disserve society. He urged the media to “resolve issues and represent the truth,” asserting that a peaceful world is attainable through truthful reporting.
Dr. B.K. Mruthyunjaya, Additional Secretary General, Brahma Kumaris, Mt. Abu, referred to the attendees as ‘modern Narads,’ drawing a compelling parallel to the revered devotee-saint often considered the original messenger and chronicler of events. He noted the paradox of a universal desire for peace amidst global conflict, attributing this to a disconnect from the divine Source of peace, God. He highlighted the opportunity presented by the retreat to learn Raja Yoga meditation and connect with the Source, aligning with the university’s theme for the current year: “Meditation for world unity and trust.”
Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Dwivedi, Dept of JMC, MLCN University of JMC, Bhopal, a seasoned participant in such gatherings, highlighted the communication breakdown as a key contributor to global conflict, emphasizing the media’s potential to bridge these divides and become harbingers of peace. He encouraged attendees to prioritize asking the right questions in their reporting – questions aimed at addressing and resolving issues, rather than simply generating sensational headlines. He affirmed India’s role as a Jagatguru, a global guide, urging the media to lower tensions, enhance communication, and collectively advance global peace.
Sis. B.K. Sudesh, Joint Administrative Head, Brahma Kumaris, Mt. Abu, offered a memorable and practical framework for embodying peace through the acronym PEACE: Positivity, pure feelings; Exercise (embodying one’s true self as a soul); Appreciation; Cool and calm; Easiness and enlightenment. She encouraged everyone to internalize this and become messengers of peace.
The session included a symbolic candle-lighting ceremony led by Sis. Sudesh, signifying a commitment to spreading peace and dispelling negativity.
Bro. Krishna Kumar Vishnoi, Minister of State for Industry and Commerce, Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of Rajasthan, lauded the Brahma Kumaris as a beacon of spiritual leadership and called upon the media to be guides offering the right direction to the world.
In keeping with the Brahma Kumaris’ tradition, Sis. B.K. Sheilu led the gathering in a guided meditation, reinforcing the innate peaceful nature of the soul and facilitating a direct experience of inner peace.
Distinguished guests Dr. Gopal Sharma, MLA, and Bro. Vishnu Prakash Tripathi, Executive Editor, Dainik Jagran, Delhi, echoed the importance of the media in fostering peace and spreading positivity, expressing gratitude to the Brahma Kumaris for their long-standing contributions.
The inaugural session concluded with Bro. B.K. Karuna, Chairperson, Media Wing, RERF, Mt. Abu, extending a warm welcome to all attendees and commending them for dedicating valuable time to self-reflection and learning amidst their demanding schedules. He underscored the critical point of collective responsibility: “We are responsible for the current state of the world, not God, and therefore, we are also accountable to transform it. That transformation starts with transforming the self – so learn,” he encouraged, “learn Raja Yoga and create a new life, a new world.”
This inaugural session has indeed laid a vital foundation for exploring concrete ways the media can serve as a powerful catalyst for global peace and harmony, guided by the spiritual wisdom of the Brahma Kumaris.
वैश्विक चुनौतियों का सामना करने में मीडिया हमेशा आगे – बिश्नोई
ज्ञान सरोवर में मीडियाकर्मियों का राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन आरंभ
माउंट आबू, 02 मई। उद्योग व खेल विभाग राज्य मंत्री, जिला प्रभारी मंत्री के.के. विश्नोई ने कहा कि विश्व शांति, जलवायु, पर्यावरण संरक्षण समेत कई प्रकार की वैश्विक चुनौतियों का सामना करने के साथ उनका समाधान करने में मीडिया हमेशा आगे रहा है। समाज को नई दिशा देने में मीडिया का विशेष योगदान है। विकट परिस्थितियों में मीडियाकर्मी अपनी जान की परवाह किए बिना दायित्वों को पूरे मनोयोग से निभाने में अग्रसर रहते हैं। ब्रह्माकुमारी संस्था मानव जीवन की सर्वोच्चता का अभिप्राय है जिसने विश्व के हृदय में आत्म चेतना का प्रकाश फैलाने का पुनीत कार्य किया है। आत्म चिंतन करने का प्लेटफॉर्म उपलब्ध कराना महान काय है। जिसके लिए मीडिया ने हमेशा पहल की है। यह बात उन्होंने शुक्रवार को ब्रह्माकुमारी संगठन के ज्ञान सरोवर में संगठन के मीडिया प्रभाग की ओर से वैश्विक शांति व सद्भाव के अग्रदूत के रूप में मीडिया की भूमिका विषय पर आयोजित चार दिवसीय सम्मेलन के उदघाटन सत्र में कही।
उन्होंने कहा कि आने वाले समय में मीडियाकर्मियों के सकारात्मक व संगठित प्रयासों से भारत विश्व गुरु के रूप में सबके सामने होगा। जिसके लिए ब्रह्माकुमारी संगठन के साथ समाज के हर वर्ग को मिलकर दृढ़तापूर्वक इस पुनीत कार्य में अपना योगदान देना चाहिए।
फिर से स्थापित होगा भारत में शांति का स्वराज्य
ब्रह्माकुमारी संगठन की मुख्य प्रशासिका राजयोगिनी बीके मोहिनी बहन ने वर्तमान विश्व के परिदृश्य को दृष्टिगत रखते हुए मीडियाकर्मियों को निरंतर सकारात्मक दिशा में अहम योगदान देने पर बल दिया। संगठन की संयुक्त मुख्य प्रशासिका बीके सुदेश दीदी ने कहा कि शांति का स्वराज्य भारत में था। जो फिर से स्थापित हो रहा है। शांति कोई जंगल में जाने से नहीं मिलती बल्कि कर्म करते हुए धैर्यता, सरलता, शीतलता, मन की स्थिरता, पारदर्शिता, स्नेहमयी व्यवहार बनाए रखना स्वाभाविक अनुभूति का नाम है।
ईश्वर की अनुकंपा के लिए सत्यता जरूरी
जयपुर विधायक डॉ. गोपाल शर्मा ने कहा कि ईश्वर की अनुकंपा का अनुभव करने के लिए जीवन में सत्यता होनी चाहिए। स्वभाविमान में रहने वाले ही सभ्य समाज की स्थापना कर सकते हैं। जर्रे-जर्रे पर अशांति व भय के माहौल के बीच मीडिया की शक्ति ही शांति व सद्भाव को बल प्रदान कर सकती है। आतंकवाद के खिलाफ सारा भारत एक है। ऐसा कोई कार्य नहीं होना चाहिए जो सृष्टि की शांति के खिलाफ जाता हो। ज्ञान सरोवर के पवित्र स्थान से अद्भुत अनुभवों का सभी सहभागियों को लाभ लेकर जीवन को संस्कारवान बनाना चाहिए।
आत्मा के सत्य को जाने बिना प्रगति संभव नहीं
माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी यूनिवर्सिटी भोपाल जेएमएस विभाग प्रो. डॉ. संजय द्विवेदी ने कहा कि आत्मा के सत्य को जाने बिना प्रगति संभव नहीं है। शिक्षा के केंद्र में शिक्षित होने की बजाए दुकानों जैसा कार्य हो रहा है। लोकतंत्र की आत्मा पर गहराई से विचार करना पड़ेगा। पत्रकारिता की पूरी यात्रा सवालों की यात्रा है। संचार व संवाद को छोड़ विवाद की तरफ जाने से समस्यायें और विकराल हो जाती हैं। स्वयं का सुधार करने की परंपरा को बल देने की जरूरत है। असहमति को अपना सौंदर्य नहीं बनाना चाहिए। शांति का संदेश देना भारत की नियति है। मीडिया को समावेशी, विविधता में एकता बनाए रखने वाले मूल्यों को प्राथमिकता देनी चाहिए।
शान्ति का दाता है भारत
रायपुर जेएमसी कुशाभाऊ ठाकरे यूनिवर्सिटी के पूर्व वाइस चांसलर प्रो. डॉ. मानसिंह परमार ने कहा कि भारत शांति का दाता है। शान्ति के बिना विकास असंभव है। भारत की सोच हमेशा से ही शांतिप्रिय रही है। शिव परमात्मा के माध्यम प्रजापिता ब्रह्मा बाबा ने संसार में शांति का संदेश दिया है। मीडिया ऐसा माध्यम है जो विश्व में शान्ति स्थापना के कार्य में सकारात्मक भूमिका अदा कर सकता है।
राजयोग का अभ्यास जरूरी
ब्रह्माकुमारी संगठन के अतिरिक्त सचिव बीके मृत्युंजय ने कहा कि स्वयं के मन को परमात्म शक्तियों की ऊर्जा से भरपूर करने के बाद ही वैश्विक शांति व सद्भाव के बीज बोए जा सकते हैं। जिसके लिए अपनी दिनचर्या में कुछ समय राजयोग का अभ्यास करना चाहिए।
