Mount Abu, Rajasthan- May 2025: After two days of insightful sessions exploring a wide range of topics related to “Media’s Role as a Harbinger of Global Peace and Harmony,” the National Media Conference and Retreat hosted by the Brahma Kumaris at their Gyan Sarovar Campus in Mount Abu drew to a close. The conference brought together over 500 media personalities, including editors, professors, and experts from print, TV, and digital media, who had arrived from different parts of the country.
The preceding days were filled with dynamic discussions and knowledge sharing on crucial subjects such as:
- Media Ethics, Accountability & Self-Evaluation
- Stress-Free Lifestyle
- Countering Fake News, Misinformation & Disinformation
- Overcoming Challenges of Change in Media
- Use of AI in Social Media
Panelists and participants alike enlightened each other by sharing real-life examples, exploring both the challenges facing and those created by the media landscape, along with potential solutions. While the proposed solutions varied, a powerful common thread emerged: a vital connection exists between inner transformation, rooted in spirituality, and the ability of media professionals to serve as a powerful catalyst for global peace and harmony.
The conference culminated this morning with the Valedictory Session. A significant moment was the presentation of a report outlining key actions, proposed by Sis. B.K. Sarala, National Coordinator, Media Wing, RERF, Hyderabad, and Dr. B.K. Shantanu, National Coordinator, Media Wing, RERF, Mt. Abu. The proposal received a strong endorsement, being seconded by Prof. (Dr.) Mansingh Parmar, Former Ex-VC, KT University of JMC, Raipur, and then unanimously approved by all attendees.
The session featured inspiring addresses from several esteemed guests and Brahma Kumaris representatives:
Chief Guest, Sis. Manju Sharma, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Jaipur, opened her remarks by appreciating the Brahma Kumaris’ long-standing commitment to placing women in leadership roles. She acknowledged the vast expansion of the media landscape from print to electronic and social media, noting that while it has empowered many, it has also been exploited for negative purposes. She passionately encouraged media professionals to actively bring positivity into the world by promoting stories of upliftment and empowerment, rather than those that propagate tension, stress, and negativity. Highlighting the broader service of the Brahma Kumaris, she described it not just as a spiritual university but also as a ‘hospital’ offering counselling and meditation to help individuals struggling with mental health issues, substance abuse, and other challenges – stories she urged the media to tell.
Rajayogini Prabha Didi, Director, Brahma Kumaris, Gyan Sarovar, Mt. Abu, emphasized the paramount importance of self-transformation based on spiritual wisdom. She stated clearly that without individual spiritual empowerment, changing the world remains impossible. She encouraged attendees to integrate the wisdom gained during the retreat into their daily lives and generously share their experiences with others, pointing out, “When you become peaceful, happy and share that peace and happiness with others, it grows. So, share freely and generously.”
Sis. B.K. Sarika, Special Correspondent, Brahma Kumaris, Media Wing, spoke about the significance of making God a constant companion. She offered words of encouragement, noting that while challenges are inevitable on the path of transformation, aligning with God ensures victory. She conveyed heartfelt good wishes and extended an invitation for attendees to return to Mt. Abu soon.
Building on the theme of divine connection, Sis. B.K. Shruti, Coordinator, Media Wing, Raja Park, Jaipur, highlighted how meditation empowers individuals to handle life’s situations and live righteously based on spiritual values. She encouraged everyone to continue the meditation practice learned during the retreat and also welcomed them back for future visits.
Bro. B.K. Avtar, National Coordinator, Social Service Wing, RERF, Mt. Abu, drew attention to the often-overlooked plight of older people in society, who experience helplessness, lack of support, and understanding. He urged the media to use their powerful platform to awaken society to this critical issue and work towards creating a better world for them. He joined previous speakers in encouraging attendees to continue their Raja Yoga practice and visit again.
Concluding the session in the traditional Brahma Kumaris manner, Sis. B.K. Sunita, Zonal Coordinator, Media Wing, RERF, Delhi, guided the gathering in a reflective meditation, facilitating a connection with their inner selves and the Supreme.
The successful event was organized by the Media Wing of the Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation (RERF), a sister organization of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. The Media Wing is dedicated to awakening public interest in the spirituality found in the teachings of Rajayoga and actively works towards the practice and promotion of positive, value-based journalism across all forms of media – print, electronic, cyber, traditional, and promotional.

माउंट आबू (ज्ञान सरोवर), 4 मई 2025. आज ज्ञान सरोवर के हार्मनी हाल में अखिल भारतीय मीडिया महासम्मेलन का समापन सत्र संपन्न हुआ।
समापन सत्र को संबोधित करते हुए जयपुर से पधारी हुए लोकसभा सांसद श्रीमती मंजू शर्मा जी ने भी अपने उदगार रखें। आपने कहा कि मैं ब्रह्माकुमारी संस्था से पूर्व से परिचित हूँ और आज यहां इस सम्मेलन में भाग लेकर मुझे प्रसन्नता हो रही है। आज जिस प्रकार से डिजिटल मीडिया हर गांव तक हर समाज तक पहुंच चुकी है ठीक उसी प्रकार से मैं देखती हूं कि ब्रह्माकुमारीज की शाखाएं भी समाज के हर शहर हर गांव तक जा पहुंची है और ब्रह्माकुमारी बहनों ने समाज की भलाई के लिए ईश्वर का यह संदेश लोगों तक पहुंचाया है। इस संस्थान की विशेषता यही है कि यह माता-बहनों द्वारा संचालित है। माताओं और बहनों को शक्ति का स्वरूप माना जाता है। यह माताएं बहनें अपने शक्ति स्वरूप का सकारात्मक प्रयोग करते हुए हर किसी को शांति और सद्भाव की शक्ति से संपन्न कर समाज के कल्याण में लगी हुई है। मीडिया भी इसी प्रकार से चौथा स्तंभ है और उसके पास भी अपने विचार और संवाद दुनिया तक ले जाने के अनेक अच्छे साधन है। मीडिया को और मीडिया कर्मियों को अवश्य ही अग्रदूत की भूमिका का निर्वाह करना होगा और वैश्विक शांति तथा सद्भावना के लिए अपना 100% देना चाहिए।
मीडिया विंग की नेशनल कोऑर्डिनेटर ब्रह्माकुमारी सरला बहन जी ने मीडिया कर्मियों के समक्ष स्वीकार करने लायक एक कार्य योजना प्रस्तुत किया और कहा, तीन दिनों तक चले इस मीडिया महा सम्मेलन में बहुत सारी महत्वपूर्ण बातें उभर कर सामने आई जिसे मीडिया के हित के लिए और राष्ट्र के हित के लिए स्वीकार करके कर्म में लाना उचित माना जाएगा। उसमें सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बिंदु रहा कि मीडिया को वैश्विक शांति और सद्भावना के लिए अग्रदूत की भूमिका का निर्वाह करना चाहिए । इसके अलावा भी और तीन-चार महत्वपूर्ण बिंदु प्रस्तुत किए गए।
कुशाभाऊ ठाकरे विश्वविद्यालय, रायपुर के पूर्व कुलपति प्रोफेसर डॉ मानसिंह परमार ने प्रस्तुत किए गए प्रस्ताव का समर्थन किया और कहा कि प्रतिवर्ष ब्रह्माकुमारीज मुख्यालय में ऐसे सम्मेलन आयोजित किए जाते हैं और समाज कल्याण के लिए सुंदर प्रस्ताव भी सामने आते हैं। आपने कहा कि जिस प्रकार से मेडिकल काउंसिल तथा बार काउंसिल का अस्तित्व है उसी प्रकार से देश में मीडिया काउंसिल का भी निर्माण केंद्रीय सरकार को करना चाहिए। इससे मीडिया कर्मियों को दिशा निर्देश मिलेगा तथा संगठन की शक्ति भी प्राप्त होगी।
सम्मेलन स्थल ज्ञान सरोवर परिसर की निदेशक राजयोगिनी प्रभा दीदी जी ने सम्मेलन को संबोधित किया। आपने मीडिया कर्मियों से कहा कि खुशी की बात है कि यहां आपने इस ज्ञान सरोवर में ज्ञान की डुबकी लगाई है और काफी सारे ज्ञान धन इकट्ठे किए हैं। हम सभी को ज्ञात है कि स्थूल धन को तिजोरी में रखने से वह नहीं बढ़ता बल्कि उसको प्रयोग में लाने से सभी का भला होता है और धन की वृद्धि भी होती है। हम सभी ब्रह्माकुमारियों का यह मानना है कि स्वयं के परिमार्जन से हम समाज का संसार का परिमार्जन करते हैं। आप सभी मीडिया कर्मी बंधुओं को भी प्राप्त ज्ञान धन को समाज के बीच में वितरित करना होगा और ईश्वरीय याद से योग के अभ्यास से खुद को सशक्त कर समाज को सशक्त करना चाहिए।
ब्रह्माकुमारीज मीडिया विंग, अहमदाबाद की स्पेशल कॉरस्पॉडेंट बहन सारिका राव ने भी सम्मेलन में अपने विचार रखे। आपने कहा कि संसार इस समय युद्ध के मुहाने पर खड़ा है। युद्ध सिर्फ बाहर नहीं है बल्कि हमारे अंदर भी एक विकराल युद्ध जारी है। हमें यह विचार करना होगा कि हम अपने आंतरिक युद्ध से किस प्रकार मुकाबला करते हुए विजयी बने। हमें सकारात्मकता अपनानी होगी ठीक उसी प्रकार से जिस प्रकार से धनुर्धर अर्जुन ने अनेक अक्षहोनी सेना को छोड़कर भगवान कृष्ण का साथ मांगा था। अर्थात जब हम भगवान को अपना साथी बनाकर उनकी शिक्षाओं को अपना आदर्श मानकर आगे बढ़ते हैं तो अपना और विश्व का कल्याण कर पाते हैं।
ब्रह्माकुमारीज समाज सेवा प्रभाव के नेशनल कोऑर्डिनेटर तथा राजस्थान पत्रकार परिषद के महासचिव राज योगी अवतार भाई ने भी सम्मेलन को एड्रेस किया। आपने कहा कि इस तीन दिवस के महासम्मेलन में हमने जो प्रस्ताव पारित किए हैं अब समय आ गया है उसको अपने जीवन में धारण करके अपना और समाज का कल्याण करने के लिए अग्रदूत की भूमिका का निर्वाह किया जाए।
दिल्ली से पधारी हुई मीडिया विभाग की जोनल कोऑर्डिनेटर ब्रह्माकुमारी सुनीता बहन ने राजयोग से संबंधित स्पष्टीकरण दिया और राजयोग का अभ्यास करा कर शांति की अनुभूति कराई। ब्रह्माकुमारी श्रुति बहन ने सम्मेलन को अपनी शुभकामनाएं दी। आगरा से पधारी हुई ब्रह्माकुमारी बहन श्वेता ने एक नृत्य प्रस्तुत करके सम्मेलन में शामिल सभी मीडिया प्रतिनिधियों का स्वागत किया।
ब्रह्माकुमारीज मीडिया विंग के नेशनल कोऑर्डिनेटर राजयोगी शांतनु भाई ने कार्यक्रम के अंत में सभी पधारे हुए अतिथियों का हार्दिक आभार प्रकट किया और उनका धन्यवाद किया। मीडिया प्रभाग की हेडक्वार्टर कोऑर्डिनेटर ब्रह्माकुमारी चंदा बहन ने कार्यक्रम का संचालन किया।
