Brahma Kumaris Address 31st International Conference on Mental and Behavioural Health

Tokyo ( Japan ): SpARC Wing of Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation of Brahma Kumaris recently presented a research study on “Effect of Raja Yoga Meditation on psychological and functional outcomes in spinal cord injury patients.” during the 31st International Conference on Mental and Behavioral Health 2019 held in Tokyo. This conference was organized by conference  series.com (U.K.) and proceedings were published in International Journal of Emergency Mental Health and Human Resilience.

BK Ekta, from Vasant Vihar Centre (New Delhi) was playing an active role as Research Co-ordinator, faculty and Core group member of SpARC wing of Brahma Kumaris and was invited as a speaker to present her study.

Many psychologists and psychotherapists participated in the conference from different countries mainly from U.S.A, U.K, Canada, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong-Kong, Australia and Ireland.

BK Ekta successfully conveyed Godly message through the presentation and participants had an experience of Raja yoga. Dr. Joseph Rosado, International Medical Consultants, Inc., USA felicitated BK Ekta for giving the best presentation during the conference.

Since 3 years Indian Spinal Cord Injury Centre (ISIC) and SpARC Wing of RERF, Brahma Kumaris has been working together on “Effect of Raja Yoga Meditation on psychological and functional outcomes in spinal cord injury patients.”

Following results were observed in this study

  1. Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Patients:
  1. 2Care Giver: Stress, Anxiety & Depression significantly decreased.
