London(UK): Sister BK Jayanti, European Director of Brahma Kumaris was the Chief Guest at the launch of the Dynamic Women’s Foundation at the House of Commons. The event was organised by Sarah Jones, Member of Parliament of the United Kingdom(for Central Croydon) and Mayura Patel, Chairperson of the Croydon Hindu Council.
Lade Olugbemi, Head and Convenor of NOUS Organisation (Mental Health), Charlotte Davies, Director of Fit 2 Learn, Sarah Jones MP for Central Croydon, Mayura Patel, Chairperson of Croydon Hindu Council, Shubha Rao, Organisational Consultant and Ragusudha, Bharatnatyam performer were also present at the event.
Around 90 people attended and some key themes that emerged were the need to include, consult and empower women; the impact of the emotions on the body; mental health and making time for the self and IT and women’s leadership roles.
There was a Bharatnatyam presentation about expressing emotions and feelings through dance and five young women were honored for their special services to the community.
