State-level media Seminar at the Brahma Kumaris Silence Retreat Center at Bibi Nagar

Hyderabad: At a time when unrest is rampant across the world due to many issues, Telangana Media Academy Chairman K Srinivas Reddy has called on the media to take up the responsibility of establishing peace in the society. He suggested that media organizations and journalists should dedicate themselves to leading the society, which is being divided in the name of caste and religion, towards unity and harmony.
He said that social development can only happen if progress and peace grow parallelly.  He added that the role of journalists is crucial in eliminating economic inequalities and social differences. He alsi said that the dedicated work being done by Brahma Kumaris around the world for peace-building is highly commendable. He praised that they provide services to all sections of the society without any caste or religious differences. Srinivas Reddy reuterated that truthfulness is very important for the profession of journalism, and through this, journalists gain credibility in the society. He explained that Brahma Kumaris are working well in many other fields along with the media to increase the positive atmosphere in the society through spiritual and moral values.  He suggested that social media should be properly regulated and that journalists should keep upgrading in technology by prioritizing ethical values.  
A large number of journalists from Telugu states and twin cities attended the Seminar. 
B. K. Sarala, Vice Chairperson of Brahma Kumaris Media Wing, explained that if the trend of giving and receiving grief in the society changes, peace will prevail, and this conference was organized with the aim of increasing personal calm and positive attitude among journalists. She said that Brahma Kumaris is working to spread peace to all sections of the society through Raja Yoga training.
Former Press Council member Uppala Lakshman said that if news is published in a way that prevents an atmosphere of conflict between castes and religions, unity and peace will prevail in the society.  He said that it is commendable that Brahma Kumaris is organizing such conferences to promote spiritual and moral values in society and media
Hyderabad Press Club President L Venugopal Naidu said that journalists should work to promote peace and harmony in the society. He said that in the current era of increasing caste-religious differences, the spiritual services provided by Brahma Kumaris for social unity are yielding good results.
Mount Abu Media National Coordinator Shantanu said that Brahma Kumaris is the only spiritual organization that is working for peace and unity worldwide in the spiritual field through women. Former Vice Chancellor of KBT Journalism University, Indore, Mansingh Parmar said that journalists can benefit the society only if they study the fundamentals of democracy and the constitution. Sri Dr.Deendayal Mittal, Editor in  Chief of Shrimat Express, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, enlightened the audience on their prime role  of media in directing people towards peace, harmony and unity.
After the Seminar, Environment Day celebrations were held and saplings were distributed to everyone. Sister BK Manju Behnji from Bilaspur, conducted Rajyoga meditation and advocated a few Meditation tips  to deal with mental stress .  Jana Mantra.
