Mount Abu / Abu Road: On the first evening of the Global Summit cum Expo on Science, Spirituality and Environment being held at at Diamond Hall of Brahma Kumaris, Shantivan ampus, Abu Road, the first Plenary Session took place on the topic – ‘Transforming Nuclear World through New and Clear Consciousness’
BK Mohal Singhal, Vice Chairperson, Scientists and Engineering Wing, Mount Abu, delivered the Welcome Speech. BK Jenna, Director, Brahma Kumaris, Washington DC, USA, inspired the audience with her views on the connection of Science, Spirituality and Environment.
Pravin K. Mehta, DS and Director General, Armament and Combat Engineering Systems (ACE), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, was the Guest of Honour and BK Karuna, Multi-Media Chief, Brahma Kumaris, Mount Abu was the Chairperson for the session.
The other keynote speakers were – Mr. Ayappa Masagi, Founder, Water Literacy Foundation, Bengaluru; Sudhir Mungantiwar, Minister of Finance, Planning and Forests, Govt. of Maharashtra, Mumbai; and Virendra Kanwar, Minister of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla.
BK Pushpa, Director, Brahma Kumaris, Zonal Headquarters, Delhi gave an experience of guided meditation to the audience.
Another dance was presented by performers from Butwal, Nepal. For the National Painting Contest-cum-Workshop, prizes were distributed to the Top Artists.
Dr.B.K. Pandiamani, Director, Distance Education Programme, Shantivan, presented the Vote of thanks.
The Master of the Session was BK Urmila.
After this session a Cultural programme was presented where Jagdish, Bengaluru presented a Live Painting performance. The evening culminated with the mesmerizing dance performance by Gracy Singh and Group from Mumbai.
Three Parallel Sessions were also conducted during the summit on the first day.
The Parallel session– 01, Role of Science in Creating Peace & Harmony, was conducted by BK Srinidhi. The following were the highlights of the session:

शख्सियतों ने धर्म, आध्यात्म, विज्ञान और पर्यावरण पर विचार रखे..ब्रह्माकुमारीज फील्ड में कार्य कर रही: वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक मेहताडिफेंस मंत्रालय डीआरडीओ के महानिदेशक वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक प्रवीण कुमार मेहता ने कहा कि यहां आकर पॉजीटिव और स्प्रीचुआलिटी के बाइव्रेशन महसूस किए। साथ ही जाना कि कैसे हम आत्मा को आत्मा से जोड़ सकते हैं। ब्रह्माकुमारी संस्था फील्ड में कार्य कर रही है। मुझे पूर्व राष्ट्रपति एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम के साथ कार्य करने का मौका मिला उनमें साइंस और स्प्रीचुआलिटी का समन्वय था। ये संस्थान आत्मा के उत्थान और स्वर्णिम दुनिया लाने का कार्य कर रही है।जीवन जीने की कला सिखा रही ब्रह्माकुमारीज: मंत्री वीरेंद्र कंवरहिमाचल प्रदेश के ग्राम विकास व पंचायती राज मंत्री वीरेंद्र कंवर ने कहा कि ब्रह्माकुमारीज जीवन जीने की कला सिखा रही है। भारत की संस्कृति व मूल्यों को फिर से विश्वभर में फैला रहा है। पश्चिम की सोच और हमारी सोच में भारी अंतर है। पश्चिम के लोग विश्व को व्यापार की दृष्टि से देखते हैं। हमारी संस्कृति सिखाती है कि विश्व एक परिवार है। विज्ञान को आध्यात्म से जोड़कर इसके दुष्परिणाम कम कर सकते हैं। संस्था द्वारा राष्ट्र के जीवन मूल्य को फिर से दुनियाभर में पहुंचाया जा रहा है। आज इस मंच से मैं प्रण लेकर जा रहा हूं कि संस्था द्वारा किए जा रहे समाज परिवर्तन के कार्य से जुड़ा रहूंगा।घटता भू-गर्भीय जलस्तर चिंता का विषय: अय्यपा मसाजीबैंगलुरु जल साक्षरता नींव के संस्थापक जल योद्धा अय्यपा मसाजी ने कहा कि ब्रह्माकुमारी संगठन पर्यावरण व जल संरक्षण को लेकर संवेदनशील है। घटता भू-गर्भीय जलस्तर चिंता का विषय है। जल संरक्षण को लेकर व्यापक स्तर पर जन जागरुकता की जरूरत है। दिल्ली की क्षेत्रीय निदेशिका बीके पुष्पा बहन ने राजयोग मेडिटेशन का अभ्यास कराते हुए गहन शांति की अनुभूति कराई।इन्होंने भी रखे विचार….संगठन के मीडिया निदेशक बीके करुणा, अमेरिका वाशिंगटन डीसी की निदेशिका बीके जेना बहन, विज्ञान व तकनीकी प्रभाग के उपाध्यक्ष बीके मोहन सिंघल ने भी अपने विचार व्यक्त किए। वरिष्ठ राजयोग शिक्षिका बीके उर्मिल बहन ने संचालन किया। आभार दूरस्थ शिक्षा निदेशक डॉ. पांड्यामणि ने माना।सम्मेलन के खास आकर्षण…– बाली इंडोनेशिया से पधारे कलाकारों ने भारत नाट्यम पर जोरदार प्रस्तुति देकर सभी का मन मोह लिया।– देशभर से पधारे पर्यावरणविदों व सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं का सम्मान किया गया।
