Jabalpur: Media has a huge impact on the collective thought process of the society. It has the potential to change the world. Hence, it should practice positive journalism. These were the thoughts expressed by Prof. Kamal Dixit , Senior Journalist and Editor of Raji Khushi magazine at a Seminar on ‘Challenges before Value Based Media’ held at Brahma Kumaris, Katanga Colony center here.
As the Chief Guest, Prof. Dixit said that the fall in media ethics is symbolic of the degradation in values of our society. This calls for self introspection from the media community. Every journalist should pledge to write at least one positive news everyday. This will increase self satisfaction and also bring positive change in the society.
Mr. Nanaji Deshmukh, Vice Chancellor of the Veterinary Hospital and University talked about the impressionable nature of man. If it is surrounded by positivity, it becomes good and vice versa.
Mr. Rajendra Vajpayee, Editor of Hindi Express said that dominance of market culture in journalism is the root cause of fall in ethics. Being the fourth pillar of democracy, the expectations from media are huge.
Sister BK Vimla, Head of Brahma Kumaris Jabalpur said that connecting with the Supreme Soul through Rajayoga meditation is the best way to bring values in our lives.
BK Pushpendra, Editor of Shiv Amantran published from Mount Abu, said that self transformation alone can lead to transformation of the world. All the publications of Brahma Kumaris are examples of Positive journalism as only motivational and constructive news is published in them.

19 मई, जबलपुर। समाज के व्यवहार व सोच को सबसे ज्यादा मीडिया ही प्रभावित करता है। आज भी पत्रकारिता समाज को बदलने की ताकत रखता है। जैसे बुराई संक्रामक होती है, वैसे ही अच्छाई भी संक्रामक होती है। सकारात्मक पत्रकारिता समय की आवश्यकता है। यदि मीडिया समाज की अच्छाई को ज्यादा से ज्यादा प्रसारित करे तो निश्चित तौर पर समाज में सकारात्मक परिवर्तन आएगा। मीडिया से ही समाज के उजले पक्ष को सामने लाया जा सकता।
नानाजी देशमुख पशु चिकित्सा विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति पीडी जुआल ने कहा कि मनुष्य को हम जैसा देना चाहते हैं, वैसा बन जाता है। यदि हम सही की और जाएंगे तो सही सोच बनेगी। हिंदी एक्सप्रेस के संपादक रवींद्र वाजपेयी ने कहा कि पत्रकारिता में बाजारवाद आने से ज्यादा समस्याएं उत्पन्न हो रही हैं। समाज का।चौथा स्तम्भ होने से सभी की मीडिया से ज्यादा अपेक्षा रहती है।

माउंट आबू से प्रकाशित शिव आमंत्रण के संयुक्त सम्पादक बीके पुष्पेन्द्र ने ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ द्वारा प्रकाशित पत्र-पत्रिकाओं का उदाहरण देते हुए कहा कि इनमें सिर्फ प्रेरक, मोटिवेशनल, सकारात्मक और समाज उत्थान से जुड़े समाचार ही प्रकाशित किये जाते हैं। स्व परिवर्तन ही विश्व परिवर्तन का आधार है। हम किसी को नहीं बदल सकते, हम सिर्फ खुद को बदल सकते हैं। ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ समाज में ज्ञान-ध्यान के साथ बेटी बचाओ, यौगिक खेती, नशा मुक्ति, पर्यावरण संरक्षण को लेकर परिवर्तनकारी कार्य कर रही है।
