Abu Road: A Plenary Session on the topic “Global Enlightenment for Golden Age” was organized at the Shantivan campus on Abu Road, Rajasthan, by the Brahma Kumaris on the third day of the Global Summit Cum Expo on “Science, Spirituality and Environment”.
Sister BK Sonja Ohlsson, Coordinator, Brahma Kumaris Environment Initiative Director from Denmark, shared how the Brahma Kumaris are working to make the society environmental-friendly and create sustainability in the world. She stated that, “We first create Golden Age in ourselves. Every day, every minute, every second we are given a chance to create a better world, not only for ourselves, but for all, including nature and animals. Every time we have a negative thought, we feel stress, we delay the new era of divinity, harmony and joy. We can replace inner pollution with trust, faith and goodness in all things. Everything that happens is for good.”
Rajyogini BK Sarla Behn, Chairperson of the Agriculture and Rural Development Wing from Mehsana, while sharing the benefits of yogic farming along with organic farming, said that, “We can do anything with positive energy. Whatever problems we have, as we give positive food to the human beings in the society, all the problems will be resolved. As is the food, so is the mind. Positive thoughts in the mind change the atmosphere around and make the earth green as it finishes the pollution of mind and soul.” She also conducted the guided meditation to awaken the positive energy from within.
Dr. Vandana Shiva, Leading Environmental Activist and Founder, Navdanya, Dehradun, expressed her views, saying that “The green revolution is neither green nor a revolution; rather, it has led to poisoning and destruction. Agriculture and Farming is a spiritual Act. We need to combine Rajayoga and Karmayoga in agriculture. The seeds of greed, illusion and violence will bear the fruits of the same, and the seeds of Awakening and consciousness will bear the fruits of Awakening and Consciousness. For Golden Age we have to promote poison-free and chemical-free farming and agriculture.”

God is the Ocean of Love. Being children of One God, we are also Loveful souls. We belong to One Family. Spirituality has brought us all together from different backgrounds as one family.” She “praised the work of the Brahma Kumaris on the spiritual side.”
