Global Cultural Festival & Bathukamma Celebrations by Brahma Kumaris and Government of Telangana

Hyderabad : The Artists from 25 countries from across the globe enthralled the audience with their dazzling performances during the Global Cultural Festival and Bathukamma celebrations organised by the Brahma Kumaris in association with the Department of Language and Culture, Government of Telangana.

The event organised with the theme ‘Spirit of Life’ witnessed performances of 80 artists from Russia, US, China, Mauritius, Brazil, Thailand, Malaysia, Ukraine, Indonesia, Trinidad, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Guyana, Argentina, Surinam, Nigeria, Armenia, Nepal, etc.

All the artists happen to be practitioners of Indian ancient Rajayoga and spiritual wisdom taught by the Brahma Kumaris. The event also sought to showcase Indian tradition and culture gaining importance among various countries. The main attraction was foreigners in the traditional attire playing Bathukamma, which received applause from the audience.

Mr. Burra Venkatesham, Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture Department of Telangana, Honorable High Court Justice Amarnath, Retired Justice Eshwariah, Mr. Raman, TDP Leader  graced the occasion. Bro. Alexey Talai, the Real Hero man without arms and legs but with lot of enthusiasm and zeal, filled everyone with hope and understanding.

Mr. Burra Venkatesham appreciated the Team and the Team Leader  BK Santosh, Director of Divine Light International Cultural Group in Russia  for bringing again the International Group from over 21 countries and expressed his greetings  with unlimited love and happiness and declared that only Brahma Kumaris can bring Heaven on this Earth through the power of Mothers.

Sis. BK Kuldeep of  Brahma Kumaris, Shanti Sarovar Retreat center in Hyderabad also appreciated the group and also the Government of Telangana.

As part of the celebrations, a series of events, including Carnival of Flowers at Global Peace Auditorium on Sunday, Joy of Life at Ravindra Bharathi on Tuesday, Saddula Bathukamma Carnival Procession at Tank Bund on Wednesday and Vijaya Dashami celebrations at Global Peace Auditorium on Thursday are being held.
