Mount Abu : An All India Conference on the topic тАШSustainable Yogic Farming as the basis of Golden BharatтАШ was held at the Harmony Hall in Gyansarovar. It was an initiative of the Agriculture and Rural Development Wing and Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation of the Brahma Kumaris. Hundreds of farmers and agricultural scientists from all over the country took part in it.
BK Nirmala, Director of Gyansarovar in her welcome speech talked about the connection between food and the mind. Food made from yogic farming supports the purification of mind done with Rajayoga. People who come and stay at Mount Abu to learn Rajayoga are given products from Yogic farming.
Head of the Agriculture and Rural Development wing, BK Sarla in her address talked about yogic farming being prevalent in ancient India. It was the basis of the prosperity of India in those days. The youth of today instead of running after jobs should take up yogic farming as an enterprise as it has tremendous demand in the market.
Dr. P.K Khosla, Vice Chancellor of Shoolini University in Solan as the Chief Guest said that he finds himself as very fortunate in getting this opportunity to be here. He said he believes that yogic farming must have been practised in ancient India. Yoga purifies the mind. It can surely be the basis of best farming practices.
BK Dr. Pratap Midha from Global Hospital said that right knowledge through spirituality can change our attitudes. This can become the means of solving many of our problems by giving us the ability to introspect.
BK Raju, Vice Chairperson of agriculture and rural development wing urged everyone to feel the divine vibrations of the place.
BK Badri Vishal Tiwari, Assistant Director, Ministry of Agriculture, Uttar Pradesh government , while talking to the audience said that excessive use of pesticides and fertilizers has deteriorated the soil health. Yogic farming can be an antidote for this.
BK Sunanda defined yogic farming as a means for creating a happy and prosperous society.
