Program on World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDR) in Mumbai

Mumbai, 17 Nov 2019: The Event on the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDR) was organised at Brahma Kumaris, Prabhu Upvan, Ekta Bhoomi Garden-1, Rajendra Ngr, Borivali(E). 
The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDR) is commemorated on the third Sunday of November each year – to remember the many millions killed and injured on the world’s roads, together with their families, friends and many others who are also affected. It is also a Day on which we thank the emergency services and reflect on the tremendous burden and cost of this daily continuing disaster to families, communities and countries, and on ways to halt it.
The Chief Guest Brother Sunil RaneMLA of Borivali shared his own views and concerns regarding road accidents. He also extended his support to Brahma Kumaris and Transport & Travel wing service to improve road safety.
 
Sister BK Kavita gave a talk of 30 minutes on World Day of Remembrance (WDR). She explained the significance of WDR and why the United Nations has marked this day of observance. She also shared how we can contribute to reduce this catastrophe of road accidents. 
Sister BK DivyaprabhaVice-Chairperson, TTW & Sub-Zone In Charge, North Mumbai Brahma Kumaris Centres felicitated Sunil Rane ji with shawl and momento. She congratulated Sunil Rane ji for his achievements and gave her blessings for future success.
Sister BK Sangeeta conducted guided meditation of half an hour and let the audience observe silence to pay tribute to people who lost their lives and their bereaved families. Sister BK Rakesha coordinated the event very well. Around 150 people participated in the event.
