Indian Education Minister Inaugurates E-Conference on “New Education for New Era”


Mount Abu (RJ) : The Education Wing of the Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation, in collaboration with the Brahma Kumaris, is organizing an International Education E-Conference from May 28 – 31, 2020, on the theme ‘New Education For New Era‘.  Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India, was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session of this e-conference.

Honorable Education Minister expressed his satisfaction that this initiative is being taken at a time when people need morale upliftment and guidance to overcome and move through the coronavirus pandemic.  He appreciated the work of moral and character building done by the Organization.  In the Indian culture,  education was always tilted towards imparting highest ideals of humanity.  In the New Education Policy being made by the Government of India, equal emphasis is being placed on value education as well. The Brahma Kumaris Organization has really made this world one family by working in 140 countries.  India does not favor commercialization of education.  He congratulated the Brahma Kumaris for this initiative and urged everyone to come forward for the work of making a new world.

Dadi Ratanmohini, Additional Chief of the Brahma Kumaris and Chairperson of the Youth Wing, said that today the coronavirus pandemic depicts the bad condition of the environment.  This has resulted due to the tendencies of today’s people.  The knowledge of the Supreme Soul is the highest knowledge.  It is meant for everyone.  We must all strive to attain this knowledge for bringing in the Golden Age.

BK Nirwair, Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris, congratulated everyone on this new initiative and urged everyone to strive for Godly knowledge. This alone can help people turn inwards and transform our lives for the better.  Every person must benefit from the practice of Rajayoga.

BK Mruthyunjyaya, Executive Secretary of the Brahma Kumaris and Chairperson of the Education Wing, said that real education is not vocation centric but one that improves the quality of our lives.  It furthers our growth on the path of ultimate reality.  It helps man in becoming pain-free and disease-free.

BK Sheilu, Senior Rajayoga Teacher and Vice Chairperson of the Education Wing, apprised the audience of the technique of Rajayoga Meditation.  She said that being meditative means learning to focus intensely on something.  We should fill our mind with thoughts of the Supreme Soul to experience peace within us.

BK Shukla, Director of Hari Nagar Subzone of the Brahma Kumaris and National Coordinator of Security Services Wing, gave a glimpse of the new world that we should work for, through the medium of Spirituality. She advocated a class on spirituality in schools and colleges, as it helps us understand who we are.

This Conference will discuss important topics such as Facing Challenges With Wisdom  and Strength, Building Inner Strength and Resilience, Mastering Mind and Memory, Spiritual Wisdom: How will it Help me, Freedom from Fear and Anxiety, etc., with eminent personalities such as BK Sister Shivani, Motivational Speaker and TV Icon; Prof. Dhirendra Singh, Chairman UGC; and Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, in the subsequent days.
