Agra: The Media Wing of Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation and Brahma Kumaris in Agra organized a One-Day Seminar and Dialogue on the theme – ‘Enlightened Media for Building a Better Society’ at Brahma Kumaris centre here.

Talking about the objective of the Seminar, BK Shantanu said that Media has the power which can carry out the great task of world transformation. Media has an important role in building a better society. If trusteeship is brought in media, it can become a means to transform the world. Hence, everyone will have to take a step forward and make efforts.
In the Keynote Address, Professor Kamal Dixit said – Media is the prime centre and means of transformation. When the journalist would be spiritually empowered, strong and full of divine values; the society shall become likewise, because value-based media is the foundation of value-based society.
BK Sushant, in his inspirational Address, said – it is the job of journalism to raise questions. Hence media needs to have courage. If media broadcasts elevated aspects, an atmosphere of ideals shall be created in the society.
BK Komal said – We must make efforts to re-establish the values in the society becoming de-sensitized. In the contemporary times, optimistic approach is required to maintain faith in media.
Vivek Jain said that this effort of Brahma Kumaris organization will definitely bring about a positive change. BK Ashwina presented the Welcome Address. She said – Media must make efforts to bring about social and mental development along with the economic development. BK Sunita conducted Guided Meditation to help everyone experience Soul empowerment. The program was inaugurated with lamp lighting.
Rajyogini BK Sheela, giving the blessings, said – Meditation must be included in the routine which shall bring about positive energy and develop inner peace. This accumulated energy can be used to form a better society.
Cultural dances were presented by the students of Nritya Jyoti Kathak Kendra. BK Amar conducted the stage program. Many eminent journalists, teachers and students connected with media were present in large numbers in the program. They accepted that the Seminar was successful in passing on a message of value-based journalism to the students.

संगोष्ठी का उद्देश्य बताते हुए बी0के0 शान्तनु ने कहा कि मीडिया में ही वह ताकत है जो विश्व परिवर्तन का महान कार्य कर सकता है। बेहतर समाज बनाने में मीडिया की भूमिका महत्त्वपूर्ण है। यदि मीडिया में ट्रस्टीपन लाया जाए तो मीडिया विश्व बदलाव का माध्यम बन सकता है। इसके लिए सभी को आगे बढ़कर प्रयास करने होंगे।
मुख्य वक्तव्य में प्रो0 कमल दीक्षित ने बताया कि मीडिया ही बदलाव का सबसे बड़ा केन्द्र और माध्यम है। जब पत्रकार आध्यात्मिक रूप से सशक्त, मजबूत और दिव्य गुणों से ओत-प्रोत होगा तो समाज भी उसी अनुसार हो जाएगा। क्योंकि मूल्यनिष्ठ समाज का आधार मूल्यनिष्ठ मीडिया है।
प्रेरणा सम्बोधन में बी0के0 सुशान्त ने बताया कि पत्रकारिता का काम प्रश्न उठाना है। ऐसे में मीडिया में साहस होना जरूरी है। अच्छी बातों का प्रचार-प्रसार मीडिया करे तो समाज में आदर्श का माहौल बन जायेगा।
बी0के0 कोमल ने कहा-संवेदनहीन होते समाज में मूल्यों की स्थापना के लिए प्रयास करना चाहिए। वर्तमान समय में मीडिया की विश्वसनीयता को बनाये रखने के लिए सकारात्मक पहल की जरूरत है।
श्री विवेक जैन ने कहा कि ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्थान का यह प्रयास निश्चित तौर पर एक सकारात्मक परिवर्तन लायेगा। स्वागत भाषण बी0के0 अश्विना बहन ने दिया। उन्होंने कहा, आर्थिक विकास के साथ सामाजिक और बौ(िक विकास के लिए मीडिया को पहल करनी चाहिए। बी0के0 सुनीता बहन ने सभी को आत्मिक शक्ति के लिए मेडीटेशन का अभ्यास कराया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारम्भ दीप प्रज्ज्वलित कर किया गया।
आशीर्वचन में बी0के0 शीला बहन जी ने कहा कि मेडीटेशन को अपने दैनिक जीवन में शामिल करें जिससे आपमें सकारात्मक ऊर्जा का संचार होगा तथा मानसिक शान्ति प्राप्त होगी। इस संचित शक्ति का उपयोग आप एक बेहतर समाज के निर्माण में कर सकते हैं।
कार्यक्रम में नृत्य ज्योति कथक केन्द्र के बच्चों ने सांस्ड्डतिक नृत्य प्रस्तुत किये। कार्यक्रम का संचालन बी0के0 अमर भाई ने किया। कार्यक्रम में काफी संख्या में मीडिया से जुड़े वरिष्ठ पत्रकार, शिक्षक एवं छात्र उपस्थित रहे। आगरा कॉलेज के पत्रकारिता विभाग के डॉ0 महेन्द्र सिंह पत्रकारिता के छात्रों के साथ उपस्थित रहे। उन्होंने कहा, यह सेमिनार छात्रों को मूल्यनिष्ठ पत्रकारिता का संदेश देने में बहुत ही सफल रहा।
