Abu Road, March 27: Lauding the long and committed role of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishva Vidyalaya in practically demonstrating spirituality, dignitaries from all walks of life congratulated the organisation on completing 80 years of service to humanity.
They were speaking to an audience that included 6,000 prominent guests from the country and abroad who had gathered for the anniversary celebrations at the BK headquarters here. The four-day event was formally inaugurated yesterday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through tele-conferencing from the capital.
H.H. Swami Chidanand Saraswati, president of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, said the Brahma Kumaris had shown how the world could be one family. “Chaos does not happen outside; it happens inside of us,” he said, asking everyone to participate in building a culture of trust. He also encouraged everyone in the audience to plant a tree and help save many from diseases by cooperating in building toilets.
BK Karuna, Head of Multimedia at the Brahma Kumaris, apprised everyone of the latest media collaborations of the organisation that would make available to the public spiritual songs and music. He said Tata Sky had launched a channel to show the daily activities of Brahma Kumaris centres.
BK Marcelo Bulk, Director of the Brahma Kumaris centres in Colombia, said that in the fast-paced urban culture, where the only certainty was uncertainty, the loss of one’s real, spiritual identity was a big crisis. This is where India, with its rich tradition and spiritual heritage, was making a difference by bringing peace and meaning to life. Referring to the decades of war in Colombia, he said: “Peace is not something that you can get by signing a treaty but through deep reflection.”
G.V.S.R. Anjaneyulu, MLA and Chairman of Shivshakthi Group, Hyderabad, said that practising Rajyoga meditation taught at the Brahma Kumaris had given him a great deal of internal satisfaction. He said knowledge of peace and happiness could not be received from top universities, but from spiritual organisations like the BK.
Convinced that spirituality had answers to current challenges, Dr. G. Vivekanand, Advisor, Telangana Government, proposed that the Brahma Kumaris work to spread their knowledge in the rural areas of his state.
Applauding the selfless service of the Brahma Kumaris, Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni, social reformer and writer, said the organisation was working tirelessly for creating a new society.
Anuradha Prasad, Editor-in-Chief, News 24, congratulated the organisation for demonstrating the values of purity and simplicity. She urged the BKs to help in converting rajniti (politics) into rashtraniti (inclusive governance).
R.C. Raina, CEO, Navgraha TV, said that the Brahma Kumaris had taken woman power forward. He said that to bring about social transformation, the country’s education system, politics, and structure of family, religion and spirituality needed to be revamped.
Giving her inspirations, Dadi Ratan Mohini, Joint Chief of the Brahma Kumaris, said spirituality should be manifest in our speech and conduct. “I may consider myself good, but what do others feel from my words and behavior,” she said.
Ramesh Mittal, Chancellor, Medi-Caps University, Indore, said the Brahma Kumaris were upholding moral values which, he said, were vanishing fast from society. He requested the institution to seek the government’s help and start courses in educational institutions to impart moral education.
Anurag Batra, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, Business World, said the Brahma Kumaris had done more for others than any other institution in the country. At a time when people were more interested in physical fitness, he said mental disorders were on the rise, and the teachings of the Brahma Kumaris helped build one’s mental muscle.
Sankar Laskar, Chief Editor of Asomiya Khabar, published from Guwahati, said that after having visited the Brahma Kumaris campus, he believed he would be able to change his perspective from a material to a spiritual one.
Kanak Sen Deka, Chief Editor of Dainik Agradoot, published from Guwahati, appreciated the work being done by the Brahma Kumaris and drew a parallel between their teachings and the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and Srimanta Sankardev, the 15th Century saint and social reformer from Assam.
Atul Agarwal, Editor-in-Chief of Hindi Khabar, said he had received soul energy in the Brahma Kumaris campus and wondered how everyone here remained happy and every moment seemed to be festive.
Shivani Aggarwal, Channel Head of Pragya TV, said her life had been changed by her association with the Brahma Kumaris, and emphasised on the need to see events and news in a detached manner, without their affecting one’s life.
The highlight of the morning session was a ‘royal’ felicitation of senior members who have played a pivotal role in the Brahma Kumaris’ services for several decades.

– ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्था ने समाज को दिया विश्वास का कल्चर
माउण्ट आबू/आबूरोड (राजस्थान)। प्रजापिता ब्रह्माकुमारी ईश्वरीय विश्व विद्यालय के शांतिवन आबूरोड में चल रहे अंतरराष्ट्रीय महासम्मेलन के दूसरे दिन रशियन के कलाकारों ने नाट्य प्रस्तुत से शांति और एकता का संदेश दिया। वहीं विजयनगरम की बालिकाओं ने शिव आराधना की जोरदार प्रस्तुति से कला कौशल दिखाया। वक्ताओं ने विश्व शांति का नारा देते हुएसंस्था को ‘मैक इंडिया’ कहा। उन्होंने कहा कि ब्रह्माकुमारीका ने सिर्फ ओम शांति के मंत्र से लाखों लोगों का विश्वास जीत लिया।
संस्थान की 80वीं वर्षगांठ के मौके पर विश्व के कोने-कोन से आए हजारों सम्मेलन सहभागियों को संबोधित करते हुए मुख्य अतिथि परमार्थ निकेतन आश्रम के प्रमुख स्वामी चिदानंद सरस्वती ने सुबह के सत्र में कहा कि आज जहां पति-पत्नी तक का आपस में विश्वास नहीं होता, वहीं दादा लेखराज ने विश्वास का ऐसा बीज बोया कि लाखों लोग जुड़ते चले गए। दादा और दादी ने ‘ओम शांति’ मंत्र से लाखों का ह्दय परिवर्तन कर दिया। लोग कहते हैं ‘बदलता है जमाना अक्सर’ मगर यहां कुछ ऐसे होते हैं जो जमाना बदल देते हैं। सरकार ने अब मेक इन इंडिया का मंत्र दिया है मगर दादा लेखराज ने बरसों पहले ‘मेक इंडिया’ का मंत्र दिया।
बदल सकती पत्थर की भी तकदीर
स्वामी चिदानंद ने कहा कि हर पत्थर की तकदीर बदल सकती है, शर्त है कि उसे सलीके से संवारा जाए। दादी ने देश को आत्म ऊर्जा का मंत्र दिया। जब बसंत आता है, जीवन में बहार आती है। जब कोई संत आता है। उन्होंने सभी को संकल्प दिलाया कि यहां से जुड़ा हर सदस्य एक शौचालय बनवाए और पेड़ जरूर लगाए।
दादी को मिले नोबेल पुरस्कार: डॉ. लोकेश मुनि
समाजसुधारक, लेखक एवं कवि आचार्य डॉ. लोकेश मुनि ने कहा कि जब-जब मैं यहां आता हूं और दादीजी के पास बैठता हूं तो मेरी स्वयं की बैटरी चार्ज हो जाती है। नारी शक्ति द्वारा विश्व परिवर्तन का जो कार्य आबू से संचालित हो रहा है वह विश्व के अंदर कहीं नहीं हो रहा। ब्रह्माकुमारी परिवार का मंत्र है ‘तेरा तो तेरा, मेरा भी तेरा।’ ये बहनें स्वार्थ से ऊपर उठकर समाज निर्माण का कार्य कर रही हैं। जो काम सरकार करोड़ों खर्च कर नहीं कर सकती वह ब्रह्माकुमारी परिवार कर रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि दादी जानकी को भारत रत्न नहीं, नोबल पुरस्कार मिलना चाहिए।
परमात्मा को अपना बना लें: दादी रतनमोहिनी
संस्था की संयुक्त मुख्य प्रशासिका दादी रतनमोहिनी ने कहा कि जैसा कर्म हम करेंगे, हमें देख और करेंगे। इसलिए सदा अच्छे कर्म, सुखदायी कर्म करना चाहिए। परमात्मा को अपना पिता बनाकर उनकी बातों को जीवन में लाएं तो दामन खुशियों से भर जाएगा। इससे जहां आत्मबल बढ़ेगा वहीं खुशी भी मिलेगी।
हर चीज को पवित्रता से बढ़ाया: अनुराधा प्रसाद
न्यूज़ 24 की एडिटर अनुराधा प्रसाद ने कहा कि मैं इतने सालों बाद यहां आई हूं जो मैंने बहुत मिस किया। संस्था ने जो चेतना जगाई है वह विश्व की चेतना है। ब्रह्माकुमारी बहनों ने हर चीज को पवित्रता के साथआगे बढ़ाया। राष्ट्रनीति को जगाने के लिएब्रह्माकुमारीज ने बढ़ा काम किया है।आज देश में ‘राष्ट्रनीति’ को बढ़ाने की जरूरत है।
पत्रकारिता में बदलाव की जरूरत: रैना
नवग्रह टीवी के सीईओ आर.सी रैना ने कहा कि संस्था बहुत सहज तरीके से अपना कार्य कर रही है। यहां से सभ्य समाज का निर्माण कर रही है। देह अभिमानी नहीं देही अभिमानी बनें। भारत में शिक्षा, सामाजिक परिवेश, राजनीति में बदलाव की जरूरत है। उन्होंने सवाल कि जब परमात्मा एक हैं तो क्यों आज इतने मत-मतांतर, धर्म और मान्यताएं हैं।क्यों हम एक नहीं हैं। साथ ही पत्रकारिता में भी बदलाव की जरूरत बताई।
